Rise of the Social Enterprise
Deloitte released an interesting PDF in the last few months, “The Rise of the Social Enterprise.” I included a link for you below. Here’s a sentence from the introduction, “In 2018, we are witnessing seismic changes in the workforce, the workplace, and the technologies used in the world of work.” The report doesn’t contain much new information for the socent expert, but it is a significant piece of content. I say this because it is bringing alignment between the two types of organizations (for profit vs non profit).
If you are like me, we only see one type of organization, one type of company, one type of entrepreneur, and that is a founder who decides to build a startup that solves a social problem. Startups solve problems. We want to solve BIG problems.
